Two of the Atlanta area’s most respected musicians and singer/songwriters join forces to help you sort through the tools necessary for creating quality bodies of work. You will have the opportunity to spend time with both writers in small groups and one on one.
A three day workshop really does just scratch the surface of all there is to know, teach and learn, but finding the paths to being a better writer and musician will prove an invaluable scratch for the itch.
Focuses will include information and direction on creative and formula songwriting, defining your style, music arrangement and construction, exercises in co-writing, work ethics and goal setting, communicating to an audience, understanding the technical side of audio and how to speak the language, how to choose/do you need a producer?, and more.
Whether beginner or pro, there is much to learn and share when delving into the logistics and creative territory of music composition and lyric construction. Please join us as we uncover a little of the mystery, leaving plenty enough hidden – enough for discovering your own voice.
***Thursday Evening we will have a meet & great from 7:00 to 8:00 pm to familiarize folks with the Parker Ranch, as well as to introduce you to Caroline and Dede.***
The workshop hours are Friday at 9:30am until 4:30pm with an evening session after dinner. Saturday workshop hours will be the same. Saturday night Caroline and Dede will perform a house concert.
Sunday workshop hours are 9:30am until 12:30 with a wrap-up lunch starting at 12:30.
